Nevada Enacts Major Hospital Transparency Legislation
Nevada’s Hospital Transparency Act was passed in 2025 to fix widespread noncompliance with federal price rules and protect patients from surprise bills. Sponsored by Assembly Speaker Steve Yeager (D) and signed by Governor Joe Lombardo (R), the law is now in effect.
In April 2026, the state launched the Nevada Hospital Price Finder, an online tool that lets Nevadans search and compare hospital prices statewide.
