In July, the Secretary of State's Office recorded 7,435 new business formations and 35,160 business renewals, for a total of 42,595 filings. As of July 31, 2025, the number of active registered businesses in Nevada stood at 446,429.
Factors contributing to this activity include the absence of state corporate or personal income taxes, streamlined online filing processes, asset protection measures, owner privacy provisions, and incentives for sectors such as technology and renewable energy. New business formations increased by 8% year-over-year.
